Collection: Sensitive Breeds
This mainly concerns Dalmatians as they need a specific tailored diet. Dalmatians who have been bred to have their special black and white spotted coats have problems with Urinary Stones. They metabolise purine in a unique way ending up with excess uric acid. This in turn leads to urate stones.
This means that they must not eat high purine foods like Organ Meat, Red Meats like Venison, Beef or Lamb, Oily Fish including Sardines and Mackerel etc. There are a number of vegetables that need to be avoided too like Asparagus, Spinach and Cauliflower.
Conventional raw feeding guides all stress about the importance of organ meat. But due to these being high in purine we need to get the Dalmatians vitamins and minerals from other sources
